A mix between FLOWERS, FRUIT, MASKS and PUTTINI decorate the facades and architecture of Lecce’s city. Nature, in all its beauty, takes over the classical rational lines, typical from the historical period of Renaissance. The human spirit is not anymore based only on rationality, linearity, perfection and rigorous lines recognized in the “golden mean”, but also on passion and drama. Feelings that blend with forms and movements, but also fantasy explosion by the artists. An imaginary world made out of beauty, representing natural elements such as flowers, butterflies, fruit and impressive theatrical expressions. The baroque style with its twists and turns, with its passion and drama which recalled the human body linearity but at the same time it’s  hidden part, the soul. Dress and adorn from forms, lines and surreal elements. It’s not only about ornamenting architectural facades but also bodies in all their sinuous and beauty.

As if it was a game with volumes, manual sculpturing was experimented with the soft local stone into a digital sculpture.

The use of the 3D printer and technology has been so useful as past reminiscences, forms and dreams are now in our digital present. These have been useful to create this strong idea, gaining all the technological characteristics bringing the use of Nylon onto its maximum performance. We created like this our jewel collection called SONATA BAROCCA, that divides into four main capsule collection: Preludio, Fantasia, Aria, Sarabanda.

Elements such as the Lecce’s Cathedral rose, baroque style, or butterflies and flowers, have all been 3D designed and printed. These iconic, romantic and natural elements have blended with the contemporary lines, adapting to the current modern world and human fitting. The jewels are so light that you even forget to have it on, as if they were part of the body. The iconographic image of the whole collection comes from dreams from the past, but it is also true it has been reinterpreted through modern lines and technologies, forming new lines in the project.

From the typical baroque-type color palette as gold, red, black, it has been replaced with new bright colors inspired by nature as an explosion, making the pieces unique.

The preciousness of the jewels is not given by the material but from the creative and artistic process behind it, totally experimental, fluid and continuous, exploring the infinite options of quick 3D printing and Manufacturing prototyping. Un tripudio di FIORI, FRUTTA; MASCHERE e PUTTINI adornano le facciate e l’architettura della città di Lecce. La natura in tutta la sua bellezza ed opulenza prende il sopravvento  sulle linee classiche e razionali tipiche del Rinascimento. L’animo umano non è più solamente razionalità, linearità, perfezione, rigore delle linee riconosciute nella “sezione aurea” , ma è passione e drammaticità. Sentimenti che si trasformano in forme e movimento, una esplosione della fantasia degli artisti. Un mondo immaginario fatto di bellezza , rappresentata dagli elementi naturali come dettagli di fiori, farfalle , frutta, volti mostruosi con espressioni teatrali. Il barocco con le sue curve e contro curve, con il suo binomio Passione/dramma che ha sempre fatto pensare alle curve del  corpo umano e al tempo stesso alla sua parte nascosta, all’anima. Adornare e vestirsi di forme, di linee e di elementi surreali, e sensuali. E non si tratta di adornare facciate architettoniche ma corpi in tutta la loro sinuosità e bellezza.

Quasi come in un gioco di volumi plastici si è voluto sperimentare o meglio trasportare il gesto della scultura manuale sulla soffice pietra leccese in una scultura digitale.

Reminiscenze , forme e sogni  del passato si tuffano nel nostro presente digitale e mai come in questo caso l’utilizzo di software per la modellazione tridimensionale scultorea e la stampa 3D, sono serviti per dare vita a questa idea forte e viva, sfruttando tutte le caratteristiche tecnologiche e  l’uso del Nylon, portando il materiale alle sue massime prestazioni. Nasce la nostra collezione di gioielli, chiamata SONATA BAROCCA, e come nella omonima struttura  musicale si divide in quattro capsule collection: Preludio, Fantasia, Aria, Sarabanda.

Gli elementi barocchi come il fiore del rosone della Cattedrale di Lecce, farfalle e fiori dei mensoloni leccesi e maschere dall’aspetto grottesco sono stati interamente scolpiti in digitale e stampati in 3D. Questi elementi  iconografici, romantici  e naturalistici si sono  fusi alle linee curve contemporanee, adattandosi alla vestibilità del corpo umano in una chiave di lettura propria del nostro tempo. Gioielli indossabili come se fossero piccole armature scultoree e grazie alla loro estrema leggerezza diventano parte del corpo, cancellando la memoria dell’indosso. E se è vero che l’immagine iconografica dell’intera collezione deriva da sogni del passato, è altrettanto autentico il modo in cui essa è stata reinterpretata con le nuove tecnologie e nuove linee di progetto.

Alla palette tipica dei colori barocchi come l’oro, il rosso, il nero, è stata sostituita una gamma di colori vivaci ispirati alla natura, come un’ esplosione che rende i pezzi della collezione unici.

La preziosità dei gioielli non deriva dal materiale ma dal processo creativo ed artistico del tutto sperimentale, fluido, e continuo, sfruttando a pieno le infinite possibilità della prototipazione rapida, del 3D printing e Add Manufacturing.

La collezione presentata e reinterpretata in colori e materiali differenti da  SHAPEUPITALY,

fu originariamente disegnata da D’arc.Studio e prodotta e sviluppata da .bijouets per il LOOT presso il MAD Museum di New York City nel 20016.
