Le nuove tecnologie applicate al design e alla sua prototipazione hanno aperto scenari inaspettati e possibilità
pressoché infinite di personalizzazione del prodotto. Va in
questa direzione anche la ricerca di Rosa Topputo che sceglie di utilizzare la stampa 3D per creare una linea di occhiali da sole che, a partire da una montatura sempre uguale, sia
customizzabile ogni giorno a seconda dell’umore e del gusto
del consumatore/fruitore.
Cambiami è infatti il nome della collezione di occhiali
da sole realizzati dall’inventrice combinando innovazione e
competenze artigianali attraverso la trasformazione di file digitali in oggetti solidi di poliammide sinterizzata, poi rifiniti
e colorati a mano, veri e propri pezzi unici. Costituita da una
montatura di base tonda con lente sfumata, la linea Cambiami è nata dal desiderio di offrire un prodotto personalizzabile in grado di adattarsi al mood giornaliero di ogni
persona, pensata per accogliere una grande quantità di accessori applicabili e intercambiabili. È infatti possibile comporre i propri occhiali, scegliendo il colore della montatura,
delle stanghette, dei decori e la forma degli accessori, ed è
anche possibile scegliere tra una serie di proposte. Tutti gli
accessori, liberamente ispirati alla bellezza italiana, giocano sull’ironia e l’originalità e prendono spunto da quattro
temi principali: Burano, per i ricami e i merletti dell’omonima isola veneziana; Rosae, omaggio alla primavera romana
e alla sua esplosione di colori, simbolo di vanità e bellezza;
Ratio, unione di un cerchio e di un quadrato come omaggio
all’architettura razionalista italiana; e Depero, ispirata alla
figura dell’artista e a tutto il movimento Futurista.

New technologies applied to design and its prototyping have opened unexpected scenarios and endless possibilities in the customisation of a product. Rosa Topputo’s research follows this direction:
she chooses to use 3D printing to create a line of sunglasses that,
starting from a frame that is always the same, can be customised
every day, according to the mood and the taste of the consumer/
user. Cambiami is in fact the name of the collection of sunglasses
created by this inventor, that combines innovation and artisan skills
through the processing of digital files into solid objects of sintered
polyamide, then finished and coloured by hand, truly unique pieces.
Based on a basic round frame with gradient lens, the Cambiami line
was born from the wish to offer a customizable product capable of
adapting to every person’s daily mood, designed to accommodate a
great number of applicable and interchangeable accessories. It is in
fact possible to compose one’s own glasses, by choosing the colour
of the frame, the arms and the decorative elements, and the shape
of the accessories; one can also choose from a series of proposals.
All accessories, freely inspired by Italian beauty, play on irony and
originality, and draw inspiration from four main themes: Burano,
for the embroidery and lace tradition of the same-name Venetian
island; Rosae, a homage to springtime in Rome with its explosion of
colours, symbol of vanity and beauty; Ratio, the union of a circle and
a square as a tribute to Italian rationalist architecture; and Depero,
inspired by this artist and all the Futurist movement.

The result of the partnership between Italy and Brazil shone in #NYFW19. D’Arc Studio and Menina Sereia blended creativity and talent at the Big Apple showing greatest combinations for the summer of every country. Italianissima D’Arc Studio designed line of 3D printed glasses for Bijouets (https://www.bijouets.com/categoria-prodotto/occhiali-da-sole/occhiali-occhiali-da-sole/) and jewlery for ShapeuItaly (https://www.shapeways.com/shops/shape-up-italy) made a perfect match with the beautiful swimsuits and shoes of the Brazilian brands Menina Sereia (meninasereia.com.br) and Quero Chiringuitas (querochirnguitas.com.br/). The show took place in the Savage Lounge – Pomona, during the 2019 New York Fashion Week.

“Back in Trento, Pomini recently introduced customizable sunglasses, round frames with interchangeable accessories that can be clipped on and off. Since October, HSL has received unsolicited inquiries about the glasses from distributors in Ukraine, Greece, the U.S., and Brazil. The designer who created them, architect Rosa Topputo in Rome, took her inspiration from traditional Italian themes: hard angles taken from Italian rationalist architecture, a curlicue pattern derived from lacework typical of an island in the Venetian lagoon. Says Topputo: “Even when you do something with new technology, you can’t forget the aesthetics of the past.”

Eyewear has been identified as the ideal product to enter the final-use consumer 3D printed products market. Since eyeglasses go on our face customization is particularly significant and this technique can significantly reduce the costs for personalized manufacturing. 3D printing cut down lead times, reduce costs, and introduce innovative materials for eyewear. 3D printing services have further simplified access to industrial grade printers for average consumers and enabled them to design custom frames for themselves. Today we choose three different brands which use 3D printing technology to make eyeglasses and sunglasses, two from German and one from Italy.

Cambiami is the new line of sunglasses, made by .bijouets with 3d printing technology. It is the result of a desire for an accessory that could be modified and customized, one capable of adapting to the daily mood of each person. Cambiami is a line of glasses with tinted lenses (Carl Zeiss), a basic frame and interchangeable accessories. 3D printing accessori molto alla moda

Prima di conoscere Cambiami di Bijouets, ho conosciuto Rosa Topputo. Architetto,Brasilian lover e fondatrice di Studio D’Arc (Desperate Architects Rome City) insieme aAlessio Tommasetti. Se avrete modo di incontrarli, vi sarà subito chiara una cosa. Amano quello che fanno e sono disposti a mettersi in gioco. E’ così che nasce il progetto per una collezione di occhiali. Una montatura con lenti circolari dal sapore velatamente retrò intensamente colorata. Una serie di accessori. Margherite, rose e cuori per i romantici; geometrie quasi scultoree per gli amanti dell’avantgarde.

Bijouets ha colorato il mondo di accessori in 3D printing

.Bijouets, in collaborazione con Studio D’Arc non è solo cambiami. Lo scorso aprile a NYC è stata presentata la prima collezione di gioielli “Sonata barocca”. Ricchezza di decori e dettagli tipici del barocco italiano. Opulenza e abbondanza di grafismi. Romantica femminilità caricata di colori accesi come il più fresco tra i frutti estivi. Preludio è la collana che nasce dall’intreccio di rami virtuali e sboccia nel rosone della cattedrale leccese. Fantasia, Aria, Sarabanda le creazioni che vedono comparire gruppi di farfalle, ramificazioni e foglie. Un mascherone stampato su un bracciale a fascia rigida ci ricorda il dramma teatrale dell’emozione barocca.

Accessori modellati sul corpo, scolpiti virtualmente con precisione millimetrica. Elementi iconici dove la complessità della forma e della progettazione contrastano con la leggerezza dell’essere.
