An afternoon with Iris Van Herpen
6 September 2013On September 28, futuristic Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen will welcome children and adults alike to participate in a series of creative design activities at Paris’ Musée d’Art Moderne.
Dubbed A Dream Scenario, this special day of design activities marks the start of a new line-up of art workshops at the Georges Pompidou Center. For the first of these back-to-school events, the museum has opted for an afternoon with designer Iris Van Herpen. Van Herpen, who admits to approaching her work much as though she were a sculptor, was nominated for the 2013 Andam prize, becoming known in 2007 after her first innovative collection appeared filled with silicone, cardboard and calf hair.
